Dear Trina,

I just finished listening to your latest album [Trina's note: Born to Live in These Times], and felt the need to share with you my reaction to it.

Some background may be required here: I had just finished a deep conversation with one of my mentors, and was particularly “open” afterwards; I was feeling quite vulnerable, to say the least.

It was at that time I noticed an unopened envelope on my desk from the daily mail. And, lo and behold, inside was your new CD. When I then shortly thereafter left my office for home, I put the CD into my player to enjoy on the road. Well, after the first song I had tears welling up inside, and I was wondering what had been triggered! So, when the second song had a similar effect I was paying very close attention. Your poetic lyrics were so very relevant and moving for me. Every single piece on the CD had me crying, and feeling the impact of your songs on my opened psyche. What a gift that experience was ( and continues to be) for me. Mere words will never adequately express that moment, but just know how grateful I am for the synchronicity shared.
